Button, Tuck & Belt

Yesterday was a big day for me. I had to teach a workshop (only day this week!!) at CHS with some other Facilitators. I decided to wear the bright pink FISD Technology shirt that I've had for about 2 years. Most of the facilitators have this shirt (in varying colors). I love this shirt, but HATE the way it fits. I've never been able to button it all the way because it's a man's shirt that is fitted at the bottom (you see, men don't have hips!) and I can't button the last three buttons. So, I've always had to wear this shirt open with a camisole/sweater underneath. It's really long (as most men's shirts are!) and it hangs down way past my hips, almost to my knees. I've always felt a bit like a slob when I wore it. Well, as I was getting dressed yesterday I just pulled the shirt together to straighten it out and I thought, "I think I might can button this!" So I did. I was so excited!! Then I thought, "I wonder if I could tuck it in?" I haven't tucked in a shirt in 4 years; not since I got pregnant with Landon. Since I had the shirt buttoned AND tucked in, I thought, "I should wear a belt!" I only have one. It's black on one side and brown on the other. I've thrown all the rest out! I'm not sure why I held on to this one...but glad I had it. So, although still not a real flattering photo, here is my milestone for the day.
Plus, I hit twenty pounds on the scale the same morning. I've lost over 20 pounds in 7 weeks.
It was a big morning. I went to work with a bit more skip in my step and for the first time in a REALLY long time, I felt good about it.
