It's here!!

My computer arrived about 20 minutes before Shannon and I needed to leave for our date! Just enough time to get it out of the box, get it set up, and make sure it would work. We didn't even have time to really take it for test drive. We did put in a DVD so Shannon could hear how amazing the speakers were. Anyways, I'm just excited at how much space I will have to edit my pictures!! Check out the comparison between the laptop I was using and this new amazing 24" HD monitor.

I need to get the monitor calibrated so that the colors are true so I can accurately edit my pictures. Therefore since I can't "work" on the computer tonight - I'm just going to PLAY!!

BTW - we went to see Fireproof this evening, good movie. I had heard that it was good, but I wasn't so sure how the quality would be. I was surprised at the quality of film. The storyline is of course the most important part, and it was great. Shannon and I saw the movie before we went to dinner, so we chatted about the film over cheesecake!!! We both agreed that the movie was honest. It didn't try to glamorize anything and it didn't sugar coat real life. I liked that about the movie. If you are married, engaged, or ever want to get married, I would suggest this movie to you. It is a true depiction of what it takes to make a marriage really work. Even if you're not on the brink of divorce, it reminds you how much you need to LOVE, truly love, your spouse. And that the only way to TRULY love is to know the TRUE LOVE of Jesus Christ. Value your spouse, tell them you love them (and mean it), show respect for each other, and let them know they are the most beautiful thing in your eyes, no matter what.

Shelley,
On this subject (kind of) and before this goes left unsaid to the person who should hear it, in conversation at our house the other day Hutch said "Shannon found himself a diamond." To see Shannon grow up and then to marry someone who does truly love him as much as his family is almost more than one can ask for! We love you!!!
