I guess I'm doing pretty good. I've learned three things in as many days.
1. If your 3 year old (or 33 year old) has to take liquid medicine that tastes worse than earwax

then a great way to "mask" the flavor is with this:

It's amazing - we tried two times to get Landon to take this NASTY medicine - we had to literally hold him down and force the medicine into the back of his throat with a dropper. It made all three of us very upset. Since Shannon was heading out of town and knowing that I would NEVER be able to do that by myself I enlisted the assistance of a nurse at Landon's doctor's office. This was her great suggestion. Mix about 1-2 tea spoons of the Jell-O powder with the medicine and it totally masks the flavor - Landon likes it (not love, that would be pushing it).
2. DO NOT LEAVE CHILD UNATTENDED!! (no matter how interesting the call on the fire department scanner!).
OK. So Landon is working on the potty in the potty stuff - we've got the peepee down pat!! The poop is hit or miss (literally). So I'm in my room listening to an amazing accident not far from our home and CareFlite is on the way - the call is really interesting. Landon calls from the bathroom that he needs help (with the wiping)! I help him out and then as Mr. Indpendent he tells me to leave so he can wash his hands "all by himself". Fine, I've got to get back to this amazing call on the scanner. Wishing that it was already 9:00 and I was on call so I could go see it in person!! I hear some racket on the baby monitor in Landon's room and really don't think much of it, even though it's unfamiliar sounds (that's never a good thing). About 5 minutes later I hear on the monitor - "My clothes are all wet, help!" I go charging into the bathroom only to see this:

Now, if you can't see all that here is some more shots:

Can you see the water on the carpet? (What genius installed carpet in a kid's bathroom anyway?)

Can you see the water? The sink is full and the counters are soaked, water running down the cabinets.
3. I guess the third thing I learned this week is actually something Landon learned - I guess this is his journey in being a life long learner.

And just incase you can't see through all the layers, I had him do it again:

Can you make out the letters? That's right Landon wrote his name!!!!!! That's the first time he's done that without help!!!!
Well, I hope you've learned something new this week!!

Way to go, Landon! Your name looks great!
Great post! BTW, are you sure that tatoo on Landon's arm was temporary? That thing is not letting go - ha!
Wow - impressed with Landon's writing skills!
I see the tatoo that Landon is very protective of. That sucker is not coming off anytime soon, is it?
