Play Date

This afternoon Landon and I brought a friend home with us from school, Anna. Anna's mom had a meeting after school so we offered to take Anna to our house to play after school. From the moment the two of them got in the car, the energy began. The conversations they had on the drive home had me cracking up in the front seat. The both got so excited every time we saw a school bus. We usually see LOTS of school buses on our way home. I think we saw about 10 today, in our 10 minute car ride.

Landon has been talking about Anna coming to his house for days. He had it all planned out, the agenda for the afternoon. They did just about everything Landon has mentioned in the past few days, as well as some others.

As soon as they hit the door to the garage, they were going ninety-to-nothin' for about 2 hours. They enjoyed playing in Landon's playroom. They cooked up some amazing, unique, and tasty, treats in Landon's kitchen. They pulled all the pillows and comforter off my bed and climbed, jumped and hid in the mess. It eventually made its way to the living room (where it still sits!). I think they played in EVERY ROOM in the house (except Daddy's office - which is usually off limits, especially when Dad is on a trip). After about an hour of indoor play time, we decided to go outside and blow bubbles. The wind was dead-still. The bubbles would hardly even come off the bubble stick (what is that thing called anyways?) and would fall straight to the ground when they did. So, we were excited when our friend from down the street walked by with her mom on the way to the park! What a great idea! The five of us headed down the street (about two blocks) to the park. The kiddos had a great time sliding, swinging, and just running around. Check out these pictures...
What an eventful car ride home!

Buddies - won't these pictures make a great rehearsal dinner slideshow one day?

They are pretending to sleep inside Landon's tent. I love the way Anna snuggled up on Landon's shoulder to "sleep"! Landon is snoring - who does he know that snores? ;)
Anna enjoyed the piano too!
The slides were well used this afternoon. Remember earlier when I mentioned that there was NO WIND today, well the air was VERY DRY as well. Check out these hair-dos!!
I love how they went down the slide holding hands! How Sweet!!!

Our neighbor friend - Libby
Landon is surrounded by such beautiful little girls!!
