I was on the phone this evening with my aunt (GaGa) who will be keeping Landon next week, when she mentioned that Troy, Karla, and the boys, were taking Anti-Malaria pills. You see, they leave for Costa Rica the same day we get back. This brought me to a stand-still. Where Shannon and I supposed to be taking meds? Shannon has traveled to Costa Rica before on business and never had to take meds. So, I got on the CDC website and checked it out....YUP! Shannon and I are traveling into two of the 4 "high-risk" zones for Malaria. I called my doctor's on-call line (as it was 3o minutes past when his office closes) and chatted with him about it. Great guy - called us in some meds that we will start taking in the morning. Fortunately, you only need to take them 2-3 days before you are in the country of question. Well, 1-2 days ahead is better than not at all. Then we must take them for a week after we return.
Well, that was something I had to add & cross off my TO DO list. My list is getting longer before it is getting shorter!! I have less than 12 hours before we leave - including sleep time, which I MUST have, and I have LOTS of stuff to do!!
Better get busy - but had to share my story!
