I went in this morning for my two hour fasting glucose test - which I'm sure I failed. I say that because if you almost pass out due to low blood sugar during the test - that is not good. And about an hour after my two-hour test I was eating lunch with my niece (who is a nurse! thank God) and about passed out again. We were sitting at the lunch table, and I got all clammy, hot, and cold at the same time, and the room started spinning. I ordered (Christy ordered for me) a tall glass of orange juice and I drank it in about 3 gulps. I started feeling better in about 15 minutes - but then felt incredibly sick to my stomach - probably from drinking so much orange juice so fast. Anyways - I should get my results from the doctor this week.
I also had my sonohysterogram exam today. The exam itself was not as bad as I had imagined it could be. Now, not something I would want to ever have to do again; a bit uncomfortable, and a little bit painful, but not the worst I've ever felt. It was kinda cool - they now have (didn't have when I was pregnant with Landon) a flat-screen TV that you can see while they do the sonogram. That way you don't have to crane your neck around to see the tiny little screen on the sono machine. You can lay "comfortably" on the table and see, on a large screen TV everything the sono technician can see. Pretty Cool! Although I had my eyes closed for quite a bit of it trying to not jump off the table!
He (and I because of the TV) did see two polyps on my uterus. He said they are most likely not cancer, but he still wants to get them out and check them. I didn't feel too comfortable when he asked/confirmed that, "You do already have one child, correct?" Like, at least I have one, because I may not have another???? He scheduled me for a hysteroscopy and a D&C on June 3. He will remove the polyps and this test will help him determine if these polyps are cancer. I have to go to the hospital for this one; it is outpatient surgery. They will put me under for this procedure. I'll keep you posted!
