A Trip to the Mountains

Last weekend the family took a trip to Mount Magazine in Arkansas. We met up with our best of friends, Karen and Aaron. We had a fantastic time. We visited a few vinyards in the area, did a few wine tastings, and toured a winery. The guys grilled some amazing steaks on the grill and made a wonderful dinner for the girls. After dinner we took a splash in the hot tub on the balcony looking out over the river with the lights of the few small towns near by - beautiful. We made smo'res in the fireplace. So much fun! We stayed up to the wee hours of the morning chatting away. (Made for early mornings - Landon didn't get the memo that this was vacation and we sleep in on vacation!)
I think Shannon and I have decided we need to make this a family tradition!

Our Cabin The Living Room - It was a two bedroom unit with a nice size kitchen - top notch!

This looks so fun! Maybe our family will have to go here when we come back to the states for a visit. Cozy!

Patti -
We stayed at the new Mt. Magazine State Park Lodge and Cabins. We were in a two bedroom cabin. The whole place is really nice.

We had a blast at the wineries, we are going to go back for sure.

Yes, I'm still teaching - sort of. We need to get in touch via e-mail!
