At the school where I work there are currently 11 people expecting babies, not to mention the 4 that have already been born this year. Yesterday one of my friends whom I work with unexpectedly went into labor six weeks early. She had her baby boy this morning at about 6:30. Please pray for mom, baby and daddy. Baby is in the NICU on a vent tube. They say he is doing well, and should only be on the tube for about 2 days, but they expect him to be in the NICU for a few weeks. He was 4 lbs 7 oz, which I was told was a pretty good size. Mom is a bit down because she has not had the chance to hold her son. Please keep them in your prayers.
UPDATE:
Praise be to GOD!! Baby Caleb came off the vent last night. He wasn't even on it for a whole day (14 hours!).
Another friend at school went into labor last night at 8:00. She is also early, but has been under dr's care and bed rest for the past few weeks trying to hold off labor. She went home from the hospital last week to be on bed rest at home. She has passed the "scarry window" time, and we are praying all is well with her little girl. I will keep you posted. Oh and by the way both of these girls are 4th grade teachers at my school. Another 4th grade teacher is being induced on Wendesday of next week (unless she goes sooner!). One other 4th grade teacher had her baby earlier this year. It really has been a crazy year on the 4th grade team! (Of the other two fourth grade teachers, one is not married, and the other is a boy!). It's the year of the baby in my hallway!
