Mother Nature

As I said in the previous post, the weather has been great and we have been trying to be outside as much as possible in the evenings. This afternoon Landon and I were sitting on the sidewalk eating popsicles, when two butterflies started flirting with us. They eventually landed on one of our flowering bushes. I ran and got my camera and tried to snap some pictures. I couldn't get real close or they would fly away, but with my zoon lens I could get in for a closer shot. Seeing these butterflies makes me look forward to all the amazing animals (including some of the most rare and beautiful butterflies) that we will see on our trip to Costa Rica.

Here are few of the pictures I managed to get:

Here are just some other pics I took today. Our friend Dottie passed by as she was walking their dog Gimley. Landon was so excited to see them that he went running down the sidewalk to greet them while they were still about 4 houses down. It was so sweet - he kept looking back to check and see if it was ok for him to keep going. Dottie and Gimley stopped for a few minutes and Landon loved every minute of it. Landon gave Gimley a kiss and of course I was not in the correct position to get the best shot - dang. Tried to get him to do it again, but he new I had the camera, and when the camera comes out - he turns it OFF - usually with a resounding, "No, Momma!"
