Expos 6U Baseball

Landon just started his 2nd season of baseball.  This year he plays 6U Modified Coach Pitch baseball.  This means that each boy gets 3 attempts to hit a pitched ball, and then if they do not make a hit they get 3 attempts off a tee.  This year they play 3-out innings (or batting through the lineup, which ever comes first).

Landon really enjoys baseball, and seems to want to continue to play.  I'm glad.  Baseball seems like it's more his "pace" as far as aggression goes.  He wasn't too much into soccer.   He just wasn't aggressive enough to fight for the ball.  There's a reason they call 4 year old soccer "huddle ball"!!  It just wasn't his thing.  He's taken to baseball pretty well.

Here are a few pictures of his first game as an Expo.  This is the team's second game; we missed last week because we traveled to Little Rock for the holiday weekend.  I'll post some pictures about that weekend trip a little later.  I only took a few with my phone, so not much to report!

In the on-deck circle waiting his turn at bat.

His first at-bat.

Pretty Good swing... just a bit early.

He missed the 3 coach pitches, so he gets to attempt to hit from the tee.  He had a good solid hit on his first try.

Playing 3rd in the bottom of the 1st.

Second at-bat.

Another good swing...better timing....but the ball hit the plate!  Not real good "coach-pitching".

Waiting at 2nd to advance to 3rd.

Heading home!

Such determination.  He's passionate about running those bases!!  He's pretty good at it!!

Cha-ching!  +1

Good Game Guys!!! (He's #9)

Good Job, Landon.  Thumbs up!!
