Last year Shannon and I went to weekend couples intimacy workshop at our church. One of the things they mentioned at the very end was these cards they had that simply said, "I love you because..." (or something similar). As you can tell we used them frequently! The purpose of the cards was to place them around when you simply wanted to tell your spouse thanks for doing that, or its things like this I love about you, etc. Then the other day on www.pinterest.com (my new addiction) I saw an idea similar to this one. It was a picture frame that said, "I love you because" and then had a blank line to be filled in. Using dry erase markers you can write on the glass of the frame so you can change the message quickly and often. I dressed it up a little bit from the plain white frame and white paper on the one I saw online. This one matches our decor. (Do we really have a a decor?) I hope it becomes a simple, spontaneous way for Shannon and I to remind ourselves about the little things, the every day.
Uno has become a new phenomenon in our home! Landon wants to play SEVERAL games a day. Just tonight we managed to get in about 7 games.
Our Magical Express luggage tags and tickets arrived today for our Disney trip! These go on our bags so that the Magical Express can pick up our luggage at the airport and take it to our hotel room for us! We also get a ride on Disney's Magical Express to the hotel when we arrive at the airport. I'm not sure any of us can really fathom what this whole trip is going to be like. I like to plan a trip. I mean details, planned out. I know this trip is going to require lots of flexibility, and even be able to squeeze in an unscheduled meltdown at some point (by any one of us!). But I do have a pretty good idea of what we will do every day. I'm getting excited!!
