First Day of Kindergarten

We are here....the first day of school.  He obliged for the mandatory photos on the front porch, and at school, but you can tell he wasn't too excited about any of it.   Everyone has been asking me for the last few weeks if Landon was excited about starting Kindergarten.  I've had to honestly answer, "I guess so."  Landon is so even-keeled about everything he doesn't get too excited about much.  When I asked him the other day what he was anticipating about kindergarten and his response.... markers!!

I had two "sign" options for our pictures this morning.

1.  I had great ideas for the chalkboard, but it didn't turn out quite like I planned.  I do love that he wrote the word KINDERGARTEN.  I wanted to see the change in his handwriting through the years.

2. A sign I made on the computer.  This one was much more colorful and I liked it better.  But we will still use the chalkboard each year to see his handwriting change.

Our first day of school.  It's a big day for both of us!!

The traditional shot on the wall.  There was a line to take pictures under the school's name.  I've waited for this moment!

Walking into his classroom.

Mrs. Kilmer's Class.

He was really tired of photos by this point, but he did let me take one of him at his "spot"!

Mrs. Kilmer, his kindergarten teacher.

Looking forward to an amazing year.
