My Purse

My friend Julie tagged me to share the contents of my purse. Well, I have to say that she picked a bad time. Let me start by saying, I'm not a purse switcher. I don't change purses to match outfits, or even for seasons really. I have the same purse for a while, then I'll switch to a new one, and carry it for a while. Sometimes I'll carry a purse for months, and sometimes years. So, Julie tagged me to share my purse. Thing is at this exact moment I'm carrying the same purse I took with me on my date on Valentine's Eve. See, I don't switch purses. I've been meaning to swap it out and get my "real" purse back in the game, just haven't done it. I've missed having all my stuff. But to play fair I am revealing the contents of the purse I was carrying at the moment.

Here are the rules:

1. Post a picture of whatever bag you are carrying as of late. No, you cannot go up to your closet and pull out that cute little purse you used back before you had kids. I want to know what you carried today or the last time you left the house. No cheating!

2. I want to know how much it costs =). And this is not to judge. It is for entertainment purposes only. So, spill it. And, if there is a story to go along with how you obtained it, I'd love to hear it.

So here it is - MY PURSE:


A wristlet from Coach. I bought it in Round Rock at the Coach Outlet Store ;) . There is a story there, but I can't share it!! I think I paid about $30 for it. I honestly can't remember, but I do know it was on a great sale!!


Inside: My iPhone, my car keys, Burt's Bees Wax lip balm (LOVE THIS STUFF), lip gloss, and a hair band around my driver's licence, my debit card, my Starbucks Gold Card, and my YMCA membership card. Just the essentials!

But to be entertaining fair, I though I would share the purse that I've carried for quite some time. I think I've had this purse for 2 years now. I know I got it for Christmas from my Aunt Jerry (GaGa) and I can't remember if it was 2 or 3 years ago. I've carried this purse almost exclusively since then, with a few Sam Moon finds sprinkled in between. It is a Coach Large SoHo bag in Chocolate!Since I was taking all this stuff out of my purse to photograph it I decided to throw away the 10+ receipts, the gum wrappers, and other random pieces of trash (wouldn't make for a good picture!) Plus, there is about $8 in change in the bottom of my purse as well.

So, what do I haul in this bag, let's see:

A. Pills

B. Badge for work

C. Starbucks gift cards

D. Small camera (you never know when a Kodak moment will arise - it has come in handy!)

E. 3 packs of Orbit Sweet Mint gum - YUM!

F. My house keys, and new Coach photo key chain! (also from Round Rock)

G. iPhone

H. House key - I don't keep it on my car key ring because...well, I'm not sure.

I. Small stapler and a small box of mini staples (hey you never know when you might need to staple something! It's the teacher in me!)

J. Wallet

K. 1 GB Flash Drive (hey you never know when you might need to save some data! - it's the GEEK in me!)

L. Work Keys - these are heavy!

M. Lipstick, Burt's Bees Wax (X2), and lip gloss (X2)

N. Halls cough drops

O. See's Candy lollops - LOVE THESE!! Cafe Latte, Butterscotch, Vanilla, Chocolate!

P. Membership card the the YMCA!

Q. A small rubber duck - I'll leave this to the imagination!
