Continued Prayers for Harper, Prayer for the Majors, and a Special Visitor

Thank you to all of you who are praying for baby Harper. She seems to be getting a little bit stronger every day. She is 4 days old today. Kelly tries to update her blog each day and so does her dad. There is a blog that has been created, Pray for Harper, so that prayers can be voiced for sweet Harper. There is also a facebook group: Praying for Harper Brown Stamps (I'm not sure if I can link to a facebook page?) as well. I'm sure there are others, but these are the ones I know of.
Harper is still in critical condition, but seems to be fighting the pneumonia pretty well. Kelly said that there is less and less fluid each day, little by little she seems to be getting a bit stronger. She is still on 100% oxygen, and they are working on lessening that so that she doesn't have to go on the bypass machine (ECMO).
The saddest part for me is the fact that Kelly hasn't been able to hold Harper at all. The doctor won't let Harper open her eyes, so she can't see her mommy and daddy, and they can't gaze in their precious daughter's eyes. I think back, to the first days Landon was alive, all I wanted to do was hold him and stare into his eyes, and caress that sweet soft skin. Scott and Kelly can't do that, and won't be able to for some time. That breaks my heart. Their amazing faith in God's power is amazing and a testimony to all they touch. May the Lord be blessed by their lives, their hope, and their faith.

Also, I have a friend, Julie, who was nearing the end of their adoption process, just waiting for their baby to be born any day now, when they got a call from their attorney that the birth mother was having second thoughts. John and Julie traveled to Little Rock overnight (from KY where they were staying with family) to see what they could do. They had to return home, empty handed. Please pray for them and their loss. Although Julie didn't carry that baby in her womb, they all carried it in their hearts, and this loss, I'm sure, is very hard for them.

I'll snuggle with Landon a little more this evening, I'll touch his face as he sleeps. I'll probably stay awake too long just staring at him while he sleeps.

Yes, he's in my bed this evening (which is not allowed in this household) - its a long story that I'll save for another day.

Lord, you are the Father of all things. You are the father of this sweet baby
girl who is in need of your power. We recognize your dominion over all things,
and we bow to your sovereignty....Lord, bless these families as they walk these
twisted roads, and at every turn, remind them of your presence and grant them
your peace. Amen.

Well, maybe I'll tell you my other story tonight.
I went and got Landon from his bed and put him in mine so that I wouldn't worry about him while he slept. You see, we seem to have a pet mouse in one of our kitchen cabinets!! I know that sounds gross, but I promise my house is CLEAN (please forget about that laundry pile :)!!! They have begun some MAJOR road construction in front of our house, tearing up a ravine that I'm sure has been a long standing home for these creatures; and now the whole neighborhood is infested with mice. They have been in the garage before and we have poison and traps, but they have NEVER been in the house!! I'm afraid to open the cabinet, but I heard it squeak earlier tonight. Shannon is in Ft. Lauderdale for the week - nice!, so I'm having to put on my big girl panties and take care of it myself (and call some one else for help!). I'm just going to do it tomorrow and not tonight! So for now, Landon and I will sleep (well, he'll sleep) in my bed, because somehow I feel that I'm safer there?? :) and I'll deal with "Stewart" tomorrow!! Well, now that I have the heeby-geebies, I'm going to waste time on Facebook before I find the 4 inches of bed that Landon has left me. How can one so small take up so much room on a KING sized bed??!!

I'll post some video tomorrow of Landon and I playing with dominoes this evening. He thought knocking them down was GREAT!!
