The Real World Returns

I don't mean the TV show, but the actual real world of work. I've really enjoyed my 4 weeks off this summer. The travel has been great, but the time with Landon has been awesome! Work begins in the morning with preparations for leading workshops later in the week and the anticipation of the returning teachers and staff to school in two weeks.

Enough of the bad, lets get to the good....

My friend Julie has published several posts about how her son Mr. Intensity loves to play with masking tape. I was in Wal-Mart one day a few weeks ago needing to purchase a roll of the sticky toy for myself and I couldn't resist purchasing a few rolls for Mr. I. I kept the rolls on my kitchen counter for quite some time while Mr. I and his family traveled around the country. I knew they were headed home this past week so I sent the package on its way. While at the UPS store I had fun trying to explain to the guy why I was shipping 10 rolls of masking tape to Phoenix and why we MUST have packing peanuts - even though tape is not fragile. The gentleman at the store was generous with the packing peanuts!! Mr. I received his package on Thursday and seems like he liked it. I hope it gives my friend Julie a few moments to herself while Mr. I creates the wildest webs in the living room.

While catching up on Julie's blog I found a few posts of interest that I must link them here:

Julie and Mr. I try to cook an egg in the car. What caught my attention was this woman's post about cooking an entire dinner on her dashboard.

Also, I'm excited to try this freezer paper craft.

This explains EVERYTHING!!! Hubby and I couldn't imagine WHY there were packing peanuts with tape. I should have known. You are such a thoughtful friend. Mr. Intensity hearts you.
