Reagan Sue Hodges... Sue is my mom's name (as well as my middle name - and technically my mom's given middle name - but she went by Sue). She is named after a strong woman who lived a great life; a name worthy of living up to.
I was surprised that they let Shannon take pictures of the actual delivery. With Landon, he could watch, but not take pictures. This time, he was allowed to take pictures from the moment they started to get her out. I wasn't sure, at first, if I wanted to see the pictures, but they really weren't that bad. It's actually a very clean and swift process. (I won't post those.....come over for the slide show if you're interested - HA!! Just kidding!!)
Anyways, here she is at first sight.
I asked Shannon try try to get a few specific pictures, some that I wanted of Reagan that I liked having when Landon was born. The first one, was the one above when I got to see her for the first time.
The second one, was the one below. I loved the picture Shannon took from inside the nursery while the family looked in at Landon for the first time, and I wanted a similar one with Reagan. The only addition is of Landon looking in on his new sister, while enjoying a pop tart.
I need to find Landon's old pictures and compare them (in digital form - I have them scrapbooked, but they are on an old hard drive...hum...adventure to come I guess).
Here we are shortly after I got put in a regular postpartum room. I spent a few hours is recovery where it was just Shannon, Reagan and I. Once we were in a real room, the visitors came. On the first day we managed to keep it to just the immediate family. I had no idea what I'd feel like or how we would be adjusting. It was nice to just take it easy on day one. We had several visitors over the next several days. It was nice to see friends and family love on Little Sister and Big Brother.
This was Landon's first time to hold his sister. He was one excited brother!!! He loves holding her and is such a sweetheart.
This was day two.
This was the best shot we could get on the day we left the hospital. Glad to be going home a family of 4!!

Welcome Reagan! I love, love, love all these precious photos. There is nothing like a squiggly newborn. They are so tiny and precious. I hope you are feeling good and having an easy recovery from your c-section. hugs.
