As I was looking through pictures to post, I realized how few pictures I took the first few weeks. Shannon's parents were here the weekend she was born, and stayed with Landon while Shannon, Reagan, and I were in the hospital. I just didn't want Landon to have to hang out at the hospital all the time...no fun for a 6 year old boy! We tried to keep his schedule (what ever that is in the summer) as normal as possible. He's a home-body and could stay home all the time!
My mother-in-law stayed with us for two weeks. There is NO WAY I would have made it without her here. Shannon was home the first week, but working. The second week (and part of the third) he had a business trip to Manila, Philippines. My mother-in-law is always such a blessing and willing to come to my rescue and help me with the kiddos in a time of need. We are blessed!!
Here's big brother holding her again. He asks almost every day to hold her.
I love this gown. She's already out grown it at one month old....
Here is our first "outing". We walked with Daddy and Landon to the pool to watch big brother swim.
Here we are "watching" Landon swim!!!
We took her in for her first check-up. Landon always wants to make eye contact whenever she is awake. I have a feeling he's going to be pretty protective of his little sister.
This is us most of the time. Me, sitting on the big chair in my bedroom nursing or holding Little Sister. Landon right by my side; or in this case in my lap too!!
This is the look I see most often.
After a bath! Her hair is curly when it's wet.
Again, Bubba (as he's calling himself) holding her again.
A rare smile caught on "film". At this point they are involuntary, but they still make me smile in return. She just yesterday (as I'm writing this on July 14) smiled back at me in response. Her first voluntary smile, but I have yet to get it on camera.
Margaret and Sara came to visit. They were upset that I didn't have bows. I did actually have bows, actually brought some to the hospital, just in case. But the headband I had was too big, and the bows wouldn't clip to her very fine, soft hair. They took care of that by bringing several headbands and flowers.
One of my favorite pictures:
When I got the chance, I went and bought some more bows and flowers.
Sunday morning nap with Pops!
My first trip to Christina's (a staple in our family). I slept through the whole thing.
Gaga and Grandaddy (along with cousin Tate) came to visit. I have a picture, 36 years old, of my uncle holding me when I was born.
