Angry Birds

My friend Angie told me about this website (No Time For Flashcards) a while back.  I stop by every now and again and check it out.  Then, the other day at a meeting, Angie showed me this activity.  Since she knows how much I (aka Landon) loves the game Angry Birds, she thought we might enjoy this activity on our time off.  We did!!

After swim lessons this morning we headed to the Dollar Tree to find water balloons.  After lunch I spent about an hour filling water balloons at the constant questioning from Landon of how much longer!! I was going to give them all angry faces, but bailed on that idea pretty quick.


It was a lot of work for 20 minutes of fun. But he had a blast.  We have enough balloons left to play another round (or two or three or four) after we get back from the gym and dinner.  If the neighbor girls are still up, we'll invite them to play too.


We started off by drawing the "levels" on the steps with sidewalk chalk.

We went to the "bird's nest" to get our birds (aka water balloons).  He selected the colors carefully!
