This morning our family and the Jordan's got together for the Wise Man's Breakfast. This is something I would like to see become a tradition. The Wise Men (Shannon and Joe) planned, prepared, and cleaned up after, a nice breakfast feast for the two families. We had a really nice meal consisting of bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits, poached pears with cranberries and walnuts. We had orange juice, milk, coffee, and hot tea to drink. Shannon had the table set real nice with placemats and napkin rings. We ejoyed having everyone for a nice breakfast and great conversation afterwards.
After Shannon cleaned up from breakfast we, as a family, made cookies! We had a blast. We rolled out the dough, and cut the cookies into the letters of Landon's name. Shannon and I also made Dad and Mom cookies. We used white and yellow icing and star sprinkles to decorate. Landon really loved the sprinkles and eating the cookies.
While Landon took a nap, I uploaded the pictures from the cookie making and updated Landon's blog. Now he is awake and having a snack of - yes, cookies (well, one cookie) and now crackers. The baby sitter will be here in an hour or so, and Shannon and I are finally going out for our Birthday Date. Since ALL our birtdays fall in December with Christmas, Shannon and I just have a nice date night instead of trying to find gifts for each other. We get plenty at Christmas. This evening we are going to see the movie Juno, and then a nice dinner at III Forks (my favorite place!!).
I'll let you know how the movie is.
