Well, this morning Landon helped me make pancakes for the first time. First time for him, not for me. He is very much into the "I want to help" and "I can do it all by myself" mode. He will run into the kitchen and grab his stool, all along the way saying, "Don't start without me, Mom." I'm all for letting him help and all for letting him do as much as possible. I know when I was a kid, one of my favorite phrases was, "I can do it myself!" He comes by it honestly. And for day 8 of my photo project, Shannon actually took this picture.
Unfortunately, while flipping a pancake he instinctively touched the skillet. He got a tiny burn on two of his fingers. Daddy thought that if we were going to really document the morning, we needed pictures of the first-aid too. Daddy took this picture too.
The final result! YUMM!!! Whole wheat pancakes with sugar-free syrup! (and yes, a touch of butter - gotta give a girl a little something on a Saturday morning!)
