I've been so busy.
We didn't even send out Christmas cards this year. It's been that crazy. And that's without doing any photography stuff this season....amazing. I'm not sure how I'm going to get my photography business back into my schedule, but I will. Having taken the past 6 months off has just confirmed, that for now anyways, this is what I want to do.
Anyways, that's another story for another post (coming soon - I'm going to reflect on my "Not Resolutions" for this year and see how I did. But for now, here are some pictures from our CRAZY Christmas Eve at the Woody's.
It started with The Marshmallow War of 2009. Each boy, big and small, received a marshmallow shooter. Out came bags of marshmallows and then came the shots. The "little boys" (from Landon to Hunter, who is 16) and the older boys (Shannon, Trent and Troy) headed outside for just a short bit and fired marshmallows at each other. The rule was they WERE NOT TO BE FIRED INSIDE!! But, we all know how that played out. Throughout the rest of the evening, every so often you would hear a "POP" and see a marshmallow go flying across the room. It was a lot of fun!!
G-Daddy grilled steaks outside in the snow for dinner.
All the Grandsons with Grand Daddy. They include Landon in this photo every year even though he's not really one of the grandsons.
GaGa and G-Daddy's house as the snow begins to fall. Notice all the marshmallows all over the sidewalk.
Landon's "BIG" present!!! We've already driven it around the neighborhood!
The amount of presents is a bit overwhelming. There are 16 family members that do Christmas Eve at the Woody's. It is so much fun, but you really can get tired of opening presents.
Trent can make Landon giggle. Here he is trying to box with him. Check out Landon's face. He is giggling so loud!!
The boys got new wave-runners for Christmas from GaGa and G-Daddy.
GaGa and G-Daddy's house at night with their Christmas Lights aglow.
We had a much more subdued Christmas day. Due to the bad roads on Christmas Eve we ended up spending the night at GaGa and G-Daddy's house. We went to Troy, Karla, Hunter, and Tanner's house for breakfast Christmas morning. After that we headed home to Frisco. I raced inside while Landon helped Dad unpack the truck so that I could get "Santa's Loot" under the tree. Fortunately, we don't do a big deal from Santa so there were only two gifts to get out and two things to put in the stocking. Unfortunately, they were packaged so securely with twisty ties and screws in their packaging that I spent most of my time trying to get them out of the packages before I could get them under the tree. I successfully got the presents under the tree and then went and brought Landon and Daddy in from outside. Landon really enjoyed his drums and guitar. I didn't get any pictures of the actual opening of gifts. I decided to enjoy the morning instead of being worried about getting properly exposed pictures. Here are few I did take.
After...
We had to move him from the sidewalk to the street. He kept running over everyone's Christmas Lights.
His hands got cold, so he wanted Daddy to steer....
He plays these drums EVERYDAY!!! Now instead of crawling into bed with Mom and Dad in the mornings, he stops by the living room and plays a few beats on the drums....Good Morning Mom and Dad!!!
