I'll start with a memory verse. I'm not in the habit of memorizing scripture - although I know I should be - but you've got to start somewhere, right? I'm starting here:
God does not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love and self-control. - 2 Timothy 1:7
This verse has been brought to my attention several times these past few weeks, so I figured God wanted me to take it to heart, literally! I'm no fool, I can tell when God is trying to make a point! I got it, God, thanks!
This verse is one I really feel I need to write on my heart, so it comes to me quickly when needed. I can file this verse in about 10 categories of my life, two of which I'm really struggling with at the moment. Pray with me that the words will come to me when I need them to so I can make wise decisions on the spot.
Successful people have one obvious trait in common: personal discipline. They are willing to do things that average people are unwilling to do.
It's getting close to the end of the year and I've been thinking a lot about the commitments I made at the beginning of the year, my NOT new year's resolutions.
I'm wondering how well I did?

Great scripture! I needed it today, too! Just remember to include grace when you are looking back over your resolutions! Look back a year ago and focus on how far you have come. Things you have changed. There is so much you have done. :) It is a marathon...not a sprint! I am so glad to have you around.
